For local artists Chris Bolton and James Thompson, the main theme coming from this combined exhibition is the fascination and interest in fragment of the past and present.
While Chris has been busy with needle and thread, James has been capturing images through the lens of his camera. The ability to identify, through image or imagination is the personal expression by which both James and Chris bring forward something that has been missing for a while.
James Thompson’s photography will display some interesting views and angles of subjects many people would not notice or take a second glance at, and it is this keen observation that brings out the nature of the person behind the lens.
The love of salvaging discarded objects is the canvas which Chris Bolton imparts her need to transform the mundane into something special.
A mix of subjects both artists have gleaned through what they see will be revealed in their upcoming exhibition ‘Stitched and Shot’.
Chris and James invite all art lovers to the ACDC Community Gallery to share this presentation on Saturday 17th of October at 5 pm.
Gallery hours Tue-Fri 10-4pm, Sat-Sun 10-2pm (Artist’s will be in attendance).
