FRIENDS 4 EVA – WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

Holidays are a great time to hang out with friends at the WA Museum – Geraldton.Play games, make things, laugh lots, share secrets, find out fun facts and much more! What’s your friendship story? What’s your favourite way of remembering the moments you share with your friends?

Telling your story through pictures and paintings– workshop

Experience the stories from Warakurna: All the Stories Got into our Minds and Eyes exhibition and see how the artists use painting to record everyday events. Learn some painting techniques, tips and tricks, and paintyourstory.

Making friends – workshop

Come and create your own special friend with artist Bianca McNeair who will show you the fun and easy traditional Woolly Dolly technique. What would your special friend look like and what would you do together? Your doll comes with its own personalised Friendship Certificate. The workshop includes a visit to Warakurna: All the Stories Got into our Minds and Eyes.

Gathering hidden stories – workshop

Join artist Bianca McNeairand discover the wonder hidden in everyday objects gathered from a walk in the urban environment. What stories do these objects tell and how do they relate to our journey? What will it look like when we connect our objects and stories in a collective artwork? The workshop includes a visit to Warakurna: All the Stories Got into our Minds and Eyes.

Friendship flowers– table activity

Make a link in the friendship chain and write a message to that special friend in your life.Will your message be secret or shared?You choose! How far will the chain stretch around the Museum?

Games to play with friends
We have a selection of hilarious games to play with friends such as fun word and memory games. You can also learn magic tricks while wearing a magic hat and cape! Have fun seeing your friends in a different way that will have you all laughing out loud!

Lego and Zoob
Get together with your friends and see what amazing things you can create with the Lego and Zoob sets.
