On behalf of Karen Andrews, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry and Science, you are invited to a Community Science Forum in Geraldton on Wednesday 15 July 2015.

The purpose of the event is to discuss the Australian Government’s response to the report released by the Australian Chief Scientist, Professor Ian Chubb:Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics: Australia's Future.

Guest speakers include, the WA Chief Scientist Professor Peter Klinken and Dr Lewis Ball – Chief, CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science who will provide updates the WA Science Statement and on the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project. There will be an opportunity to ask questions to the panel.

While all science topics can be raised during the forum we’re particularly interested in discussing how to:

  • Improve Australia’s business competiveness through science and innovation
  • Increase participation science, technology, engineering and mathematics at all levels of education and in the workplace.
