Solo dynamo Tracey Barnett, is one of Western Australia’s most inspiring young performers. Armed with stomp box, acoustic guitars, harmonica and an incredible voice, Tracey takes to the stage with unstoppable energy and a smile that lights up the world. She’s a little bit rock chick, a little bit flower child and a little bit country gal, which has enabled Tracey to create her own, very unique blend of folk, blues, roots, and country acoustic rock. Those who have heard her agree, she sounds like no other and is best experienced live.

“When I played a live gig with Tracey Barnett, I was blown away by her vocals and songwriting! She’s also an awesome guitar player” – Bill Chambers

“Tucked away in Bridgetown is someone who could be best described as a quiet achiever …. Tracey Barnett has a shyness even on stage that belies her immense talent” – Ted Dana, Australian Music Network

“Tracey Barnett is a rare example of a young woman who can, single handedly, walk onto any stage, grab the audience and take them on an uplifting journey ….. this is original roots and blues at its best” – Susan Clarke, Dingo Beach Music

” ..the audience was transfixed, it’s not often you get an opportunity enjoy a performance from someone who is so totally on top of their game that you feel so drawn into the performance.” – Barry Benfell, South West Blues Club

Her solo career began back in November 2008 busking on the streets of her hometown at the Blues at Bridgetown Festival. Here she was spotted by a touring musician whom then asked Tracey to open for a few of his shows throughout the South West. She jumped the opportunity and was blown away by the response from the crowds and the venues. Within a few months she was performing her own shows through out the area.

In 2010 she released her first EP ‘The First of Many’, which received dual nominations in the West Australian Music Awards, and by 2012 her hectic performance schedule encouraged her to turn to music full time. In 2013 Tracey released her second EP ‘Blooming’. The standout title track has attracted plenty of music industry attention including a nomination for 2013 West Australian Song of the Year and finalist in the MusicOz Australian Independent Music Awards. Since then she has toured non stop, supported the likes of Donavon Frankenreiter, Tex Perkins, Wendy Matthews and performed at several WA festivals. During March 2015, Tracey toured VIC and NSW for the first time. With such a welcome response to her music, it is safe to say she will be touring outside her home state again in the near future.

Don’t miss an opportunity to catch Tracey in her element ….. live!
