Charity really does begin at home

With less than two weeks to go to the sixth annual Mitchell and Brown Midwest Charity Begins at Home Gala dinner, community support has been incredible.

From donations of products and services for silent auctions, raffles and major auctions which will be held on the night, to the selfless volunteers who have put their hand up to help out.

Midwest Charity Begins at Home is a non-profit charity, run by a local group of women who are passionate about raising funds for local people during important and emotional times of their lives.

Serious illness causes a huge financial and emotional stress, the group’s aim is to help make the road a little less rocky for those in need.

The 2013 Mitchell and Brown Midwest Charity Begins at Home Gala Dinner will be held on Saturday September 7 in Geraldton Grammar School’s Batavia Hall.

This year’s theme is ‘Fire and Ice’, MC will be Peter Rowsthorn (Brett from Kath & Kim fame), auctioneer is Tiny Holly and band Our Generation will ensure another successful night.

Raffle tickets, silent and major auctions will all be part of the fundraising on the evening, and mobile eftpos facilities will be available for convenience.

Donations of products, services or cash are still being accepted and all donations to Midwest Charity Begins at Home, over $2.00, are tax deductable.

Their facebook page, www.facebook.com/Midwestcharitybeginsathome is being updated regularly, along with website http://www.charitybeginsathome.org.au/

They  would love to hear from anyone able to volunteer on the evening, or who would like to donate or contribute to Midwest Charity Begins at Home, they can be contacted on info@charitybeginsathome.org.au
