Many Geraldton residents and visitors have wondered what those orange and white structures are at the southern end of the foreshore near the port.
When completed they will form a viewing platform open for the community and visitors to enjoy.
The structure is part of the Eastern Breakwater development, and is expected to be completed in December.
The CGG is hopeful that the new structure will be appreciated by the community, and be of great use to visitors and residents alike.
Anyone who grew up in Geraldton will remember going down to the port as a kid watching the ships come in. A purpose built viewing platform will hopefully be a joy for kids for years to come.
While less practical foreshore structures have come under criticism from the wider public, a viewing platform that serves an actual purpose is expected to be appreciated by foreshore lovers.
