App helping community to engage with City

Proving how popular and successful it is, Snap Send Solve, a mobile phone application, has enabled 216 incident reports to be sent to the City of Greater Geraldton since its inception in July 2012.

Designed by Outware Mobile, a Melbourne based App Development business, the Snap Send Solve app makes it easier to report issues requiring attention by providing feedback to your local council in less than 30 seconds.

City of Greater Geraldton Director of Creative Communities, Andrea Selvey, said it is good to see people using the app to report common issues to the City.

“The app is free to download and has been very successful in allowing the community to engage with the City and report issues including vandalism, litter, damaged footpaths, waste, parking, environmental or general feedback and requests,” she said.

“Using Snap Send Solve allows accurate and timely reporting, allowing the City to attend to the problem quickly; it’s as simple as snapping a photo of the problem and sending it to the City via the app.

“It’s a great use of contemporary technology to help make Geraldton a better place for residents and visitors,” said Ms Selvey.

Snap Send Solve is the number one app in Australia for reporting issues to local councils and has been awarded third place in the Desktop Create: 2010 Interactive and Digital Award.

The app can be downloaded for free from your app store on both Android mobile phones and iPhones.
