Offender threatens pair with kitchen knife

A male offender burst into a unit complex in Geraldton brandishing a large kitchen knife over his head yelling threats at two male occupants. 

Police allege at about 11am on Sunday October 5, the offender entered the residence via an unlocked front door and proceeded to threaten the two occupants who were known to him.

The male went onto chase the two occupants through the unit before one of the male occupants tackled the male offender, removing him from the unit. 

All parties are known to each other and are residents within the complex.

Police attended, arrested the offender and conveyed him to Geraldton Police Station where his bail was refused.

He will face Geraldton Magistrates Court this morning, October 6 2014, charged with aggravated burglary and armed with intent to cause fear.
