Does anyone know where else in town would be a good place to give away free books for kids of all ages to enjoy reading?

I met up with a young boy whom I used to give free books to when he was a troubled kid...... three years later and he is now excelling in school and loves to read.

It is my personal passion to combat reading problems and I have two companies who continually give me free books.
I have a stand at Rangeway Pizza and at the Aquarena Café and give books out to food take away places, old people's homes and dr surgeries and at GRAMS. I also give away a couple of large suitcases full at the platform markets each Sunday.

Some of the books are old and tattered but many are also new and have never been read. One beautiful spin off from me giving books to one family was that the children went home and sorted out their toys and then gave some to their mother and said if Trish can share books with us then we want to give these toys to other kids.

If reading books helps keep a youngster off the street then that will be awesome. One community I gave about two hundred cook books to now have some very creative meals....so that was also good.

Cheers, Trish
