FREE Parent Workshops - Places available NOW!
As a parent, it can be hard juggling everyday life and the demands of being a parent. Therefore we feel that parents could do with a little help with life’s everyday challenges.
Minuscule is a free parenting program for parents and children which is held every Monday during school terms from 9am - 11am at the Strathalbyn Christian College Kindy Rooms.
“When I had my children, I thought that it would be easy. My children would be so well behaved and it would be perfect but the reality was quite different” said Jenine Steenekamp (Facilitator of Minscule). When Jenine became a Mum she spent a lot of her time researching and learning new ways to be a parent but nothing really worked until she did the Evergreen Parenting Program.
Jenine saw such positive results from the program that she studied the program and became a facilitator to assist others with parenting challenges. Now Jenine is the Facilitator of Minuscule at Strathalbyn Christian College where she is helping parents with their own parenting challenges.
Recently a Minuscule parent said “the content presented is relevant and it incorporates a Christian focus to parenting. I have noticed a lot of improvement in my children and I am enjoying my children more because I understand their behaviour.”
Another Minuscule parent said “I feel more confident that my child is not horrible but quite normal and I now have some tools to help him cope with the world.”
Minuscule is free to parents and children are welcome to attend. This term Minuscule will focus on the development stages of children and we are calling in the experts to talk about the different areas of development. Next week (23 May) we will have a guest speaker to talk about Sexual Development and next week we are discussing Perceptual Development.
Next term (1 August) Minuscule will go back to the 8 week parenting program, where we will cover topics like Building your wall of Authority, 4 different parenting styles, psychosocial and moral development and much more.
As this is a free course anyone is welcome to attend however we would like them to book a spot as places are limited. Also if you have children under 3, please bring them along to the sessions.
For more information please call Strathalbyn Christian College on 9938 9100 to book you place.
