MULLEWA TOWN LEADING HAND (REF: 589)

The Mullewa Town Leading Hand undertakes operational activities associated with the provision of parks and general town maintenance services to the City of Greater Geraldton, working under direction to ensure all work is carried out within agreed programs and budget constraints and in compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, City policies, procedures and relevant Australian standards.

The successful applicant will hold qualifications in horticulture or other relevant field and have demonstrated experience in the maintenance of parks and gardens, along with basic knowledge of road maintenance.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Provide day-to- day supervision and leadership to the Mullewa Town Maintenance crew
  • Parks and reserves maintenance including mowing, watering, fertilising, pruning, planting and reticulation
  • General town site maintenance including road and path sweeping, path repair, verge reinstatement and general maintenance duties
  • Cost tracking of fortnightly expenditure on parks, reserves and reticulation works

A starting salary of $60,646 per annum or $30.6914 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.

This role is based in Mullewa.
