About the position:
The City is looking for a passionate and experienced Finance Officer with strong Accounts Payable experience to provide excellent customer service, and efficient and timely payment of creditors.
This role is also responsible for the regular maintenance and reconciliation of the creditors ledger.
This is a full time position on a 12 month fixed term contract.
- Full function Account Payable duties (process invoices, weekly payment run, bank and supplier reconciliations)
- Assist with month end reports
- Reporting and other ad hoc duties
- Stakeholder engagement – internal & external
- Assisting with Accounts Receivable, Payroll and other Finance functions as required

The successful applicant must have a Diploma in Finance or Accounting (or lesser qualification with extensive experience), possess strong working knowledge of GST requirements and accounting principles, and have experience in a similar high-volume Finance Officer role. This position also requires highly developed attention to detail, time management and communication skills.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary starting from $60,646 per annum or $30.6914 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
