Meet the Candidates at Pollinators

With a State election looming, Geraldton voters will have a unique opportunity to hear from and question Geraldton’s three major State Election Candidates at an open house “Meet the Candidates” event at CityHive next Friday.

The three candidates will have an opportunity to express their major pre-election pledges, with a focus on innovation and community development, at Pollinators monthly Member Meetup next Friday February 17, from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Labor candidate Lara Dalton, Liberal sitting member and candidate Ian Blayney and Nationals candidate Paul Brown will provide short presentations and be available for discussion and to answer questions.

Pollinators chairman Paul Dyer encouraged anyone wanting to make an informed vote this election to attend the meetup.

“In other countries people fight for the right to vote but here in Australia we can sometimes become a bit apathetic about politics and voting,” Mr Dyer said.

“I’d urge everyone to step up and make sure they are informed about what each party is offering before visiting the polling booths on March 11.

“By making an informed vote you really are making your voice count.”

The evening is part of Pollinators’ monthly social meetup events, which include presentations, networking, nibbles and drinks.

Pollinators members attend free of charge and non-members pay $20. For more information and to RSVP visit the Pollinators website and click on events www.pollinators.org.au).

Pollinators’ mission is to nurture people and ventures that enable healthy and resilient communities.
