Endure Batavia Triathlon 2015

  • Edith Cowan Square, Geraldton Foreshore Geraldton Foreshore Dr Geraldton, WA, 6530 Australia (map)

The shipwrecked coast of Geraldton sets the scene for the Endure Batavia Triathlon - a race experience not to be missed!

The third Market Creations and Geraldton Data Centre, Endure Batavia Triathlon is set to take place on the 19th April 2015 with a special purpose. This years race is to promote Road Safety Awareness about cyclists on the road and for our ambassador for the race, Ian Beard, this is close to his heart.

Proceeds of the race will go directly to help Ian recover and provide him with assistance wth everyday life. Ian was badly injured in August last year after being accidently struck by a car. It has left Ian with spinal damage and a long and slow recovery.

The Geraldton community and local businesses have long supported this growing event and this year we aim to get as many bikes on the road and help people be aware that there are cyclists on the road and we all need to share the road.

The race takes in the stunning coastline that Geraldton has to offer. The ocean winds, that the Endure Batavia Triathlon has puts competitors through their paces across a long course comprising a 1.5km ocean swim, 44km bike ride and 10km run.

Not up to enduring the whole thing? Why not get a team together for the long course or sign up solo for the short course.

Cash prizes up for grabs in the long course. Register now to secure your place in the race!

Come and support a great cause and help the whole community be aware of cyclists on the road.
