  • Pollinators Inc 184 Marine Terrace Geraldton WA Australia (map)

This Meetup:

It's 60 days since we asked the question: ""What must we do in the next 100 days to both (re)position ourselves to as a region leading innovation?"

Since then, Pollinators, Mid West Development Commission and partners have been working to scope out what an Innovation Strategy for the Mid West might look like.

For this Meetup we are inviting members and stakeholders to contribute very early in the scope of this work, especially in refining the:

Definitions,
Priority sectors,
Aligned organisational or sectoral 'Innovation' activities.

This Meetup will be facilitated specifically to provide opportunities for members to share their take on 'Innovation' and activities within their field, sector or organisation.

While very early days in the 'strategy' the ideas, initiatives and framework are already gaining traction and will affect future investment, collaboration, economic development and even urban planning outcomes in the Midwest.

Interesting questions emerging already include:

Which city-regions might we benchmark ourselves against? Why?

What are 3-5 infographics or statistics that summarise the 'agenda' for Innovation in the Mid West?

What's the Innovation 'landscape' look like - policies, players, initiatives?

What can we do in the next 30 days to

The scope of work and, extracts from the MWDC blueprint and notes from previous member events on this topic are attached for background reading.

Come along to contribute to the agenda, scope and focus of Innovation in the Midwest.
