Walkaway Markets this coming Sunday 5th June, 8.30 to 12.30. We have lots of regular and new stalls with a great variety of homemade and recycled goodies available. Noreen's sausage sizzle and Jo's scones are fantastic!!

Come and check out the rediscovered Bigbie Lamp at the Museum. This was found among our railway lanterns by local Daniel Treasure at our last markets. It looks like a railway signal lamp but in fact is a semaphore signal lantern, last used by troops at Gallipoli. Daniel has reconstructed the lantern, added a heliograph and information to the display.  We have nothing win our records about how this item came to be at the museum. if anyone has information, please let us know.
