About this Event

This hand lettering workshop is a celebration of craft and the reminder that we can create with our own hands.

  • History of Typography - How to understand the rules so that you can equally adopt & dismiss at your own creative discretion.

  • Technical - How to apply fundamental lettering techniques that will provide a catalyst in any style you pursue.

  • Layout - How to create clarity through an intentionally cohesive layout that informs & inspires.

  • Style - How to develop your own lettering ‘voice’ by adopting an illustrative approach to your lettering.

  • Exploration - How to use non-traditional tools to create unique & wild lettering that is sure to stand out.

Light refreshment is included and materials are supplied. Feel free to BYO sketchbook and pencils.


ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Andrew Frazer is a full-time, multidisciplinary artist from Gelorup, Western Australia.

Inspired by stories of hope, despair, redemption, pain & forgiveness - Andrew’s narrative based art continues to draw upon these experiences that connect us all through shared stories. From public murals, illustration, hand lettering, design & arts management (Six Two Three Zero) - Andrew’s arts practise continues to expand & refine as a testament to his passion for personal growth.
