Switched on Seniors uses a peer directed continuous learning, and group process to enable seniors to cross the digital divide.
COME ALONG AND LEARN HOW TO HELP OTHERS LEARN THE IPAD

* You will learn more by repeating the teaching with others
* You will provide a really much needed and fulfilling role
* You will meet really nice people
* It will keep your own brain active and help to prevent dementia
The Role:
* Attend a 1 day training session – 10 March 2020, 9.30am - 4.30 pm (lunch and refreshments provided)
* Be willing to consider being part of a team to run a weekly group at the Centre
You will be trained to use the beginners checklist which includes
* The apps on the home screen
* How to close apps and web sites
* Learning where everything is - the home button, camera, volume and mute buttons, speaker, battery indicator, & doc connector for recharge
* How to personalise the iPad the way you want it
* About apps - how to find free apps, and download them
* The iPad Users guide and Tips and Tricks
* What to buy and how to get online effectively and affordably
In addition to this, volunteer trainees will be paid $100 for the day in exchange for filling in 3 surveys.
