With SPECIAL GUEST:
Richard McLellan is a postgraduate research ecologist from the Institute of Land, Water and Society at Charles Sturt University. Richard is two and a half years into his PhD – investigating the functional roles of hemiparasitic plants (including sandalwood and quandong) in their natural communities.
He will be talking about his research, its relevance to the Chapman River catchment and surrounding hinterland, and what people can do to contribute to the conservation of these keystone species – some of which we will encounter during our walk through the park.
The bushwalks are suitable for children 6y+.
Your safety is YOUR responsibility. Paths are ROUGH.
Wear appropriate bush clothes, closed sturdy shoes, sunhat, sunscreen, (raincoat).
BYO water bottle.
Please keep your canine friend at home - to give us a chance to observe our wildlife during our walks.
If weather is inclement, walks may be cancelled.
