All Ability Day

  • QEII Seniors and Community Centre and Queens Park Geraldton WA Australia (map)

If you hear or see lots of fun and positive vibrations coming out of the Queens Park this month, it’s probably from the All Ability Day – a celebration dedicated to International Day of People with Disability.

Drumming, karaoke, market stalls plus a photo booth are just some of the activities taking place for all to participate in and enjoy.

A free sausage sizzle, the Cape Burney Bushfire Brigade, Leaning Tree School’s Equine Animal Experience and Sky Box Studio will also be in attendance.

The All Ability Day and International Day of People with Disability are about creating more inclusive communities and challenging the way people think about disability.

Those interested in celebrating can attend the event between 3pm to 8pm on Friday 25 November at the QEII Seniors and Community Centre and Queens Park.

The All Ability Day is free to attend, and aligns with the City’s Strategic Community Plan of an enhanced lifestyle through spaces and programs that foster connection and inclusion.

The All Ability Day has been made possible thanks to support from APEX Geraldton, NDSP Plan Managers, Regional Alliance West, Rocky Bay, TAFE Geraldton, Midwest Support Coordinator Emily McCain, Cape Burney Bushfire Brigade as well as Sky Box Studio.
