Join a special edition of GeroSoup during Goodness: meet great people, share a meal and invest in new ventures.

GeroSoup is an innovative event that crowdfunds support for local innovations and ideas. On each GeroSoup night there may be 3-5 ventures ‘pitched’. Every person in the room not only hears about great ideas, but is their own micro-investor through committing $$ to each of these exciting new ventures.

Each presenter has just a 3 minutes to present their idea then 5 minutes to answer questions from the crowd of potential investors!

The meal, venue and event is free thanks to our partners, while the $20 you bring is yours to allocate to the favourite venture pitch you hear on the night.

In 2015 at Goodness GeroSoup more than $3000 was invested in local ventures, with some going on to deliver significant social impact. On the night we will hear from past GeroSoup funding recipients who's ventures range from performing arts projects, coastal conservation education and inspirational publications.

Pitching for investment is restricted to Pollinators members. To pitch, please:

Review the GeroSoup guide ,
Submit your project online,
Organise time/dates for a project peer review and pitch training.
Peer review is possible through a Pollinators online forums, a Lunchtime Lab scheduled on 17th August, or participation in the KickStart workshop on 18th August (highly recommended).

GeroSoup is inspired by the international SOUP events (Detroit, Perth etc.) we then souper-charge the model for Goodness thanks to inspiration from The Funding Network.
