The Shipwreck Hunter book launch

  • Geraldton Multipurpose Centre (map)

American marine scientist, researcher and shipwreck hunter David Mearns will voyage to Geraldton in August for the launch of his new book The Shipwreck Hunter.

Mr Mearns has found some of the world’s most fascinating and elusive shipwrecks including the final resting place of the battlecruiser HMS Hood and the crumbling wooden skeletons of Vasco da Gama’s 16th century fleet.

And most close to Geraldton’s heart, the HMAS Sydney II.

The Shipwreck Hunter, published by Allen & Unwin, will be launched on Wednesday 2 August at 1pm at the Geraldton Multipurpose Centre.

To secure your free ticket email events@cgg.wa.gov.au by Monday 24 July. Light refreshments and catering will also be available.

The City of Greater Geraldton and Geraldton Regional Library is proud to deliver this event in conjunction with the Geraldton Museum.
