Comedy Emporium Hosts Final Show

Geraldtonians are being promised a night of unequalled laughs when The Comedy Emporium hosts Los Angles comedian Toby Muresianu alongside local and imported comedy talents in its final show at Queens Park Theatre on November 8

Comedy Emporium director Julian Canny said the show at the Queens Park Theatre amphitheater would include stand-up comedy performances written by The Comedy Emporium’s new local comics with a few from out of town thrown into the mix.

“After the recent contribution of funds by The City of Greater Geraldton the writing team has been able to expand and offer spots to four new up and coming locally based comedians,” Mr Canny said.

“From the success of our workshops you will get to see some Geraldton comics that we can all be proud of. We have been working very hard to grow the talent here in town rather than bring in a whole show of other performers.”

With limited capacity at the venue and the sellout success of earlier shows, The Comedy Emporium performer Lachlan Adams encouraged people to book their tickets early and take advantage of the presale prices.

"Tickets are cheaper if you don’t book at the last minute; this is a comedy show, not a tax return,” he said.

Mr Canny added: “Unlike Town Towers, tickets are not going to be around forever.”

Doors open at 6:30pm, with live music from Plank on an Angle at 7pm and the comedy performances starting at 8pm.

Presale tickets cost $25 and all tickets purchased on November 8 are $30 (if sales permit).

Pre book through the Queens Park Theatre by phoning 0458 306 111 or visiting the website www.queensparktheatre.com.au. Tables can be arranged, there is no BYO alcohol but BYO food is encouraged. Bar services will be available.
