Caring Geraldton residents have rallied to assist an elderly Mullewa woman via Facebook.

The 78 year old woman, who has a fully grown Kangaroo as a guard dog, was in simple need of a washing machine. Damian Ian Michael Lee shares her plight on Facebook after discovering she has to wash her clothes in her bath tub.

Damian offers his labouring services free of charge to the woman, and had plans to install a shower for her which would mean removing the bath. He turned to Facebook for assistance from the community in finding a washing machine and was inundated with people wanting to help.

Many people who couldn't offer an actual washing machine, wanted to chip in some cash, washing powder or whatever they could.
