Police officer bitten in violent struggle
/A Sunset Beach resident has been charged after Police allege he bit an office while violently resisting arrest.
At around 7.40 pm last night (September 10, 2013), police were called to an address in Spalding in response to a reported disturbance.
A male offender was identified and as officers attempted to arrest him, police say he struggled violently to break free.
During the struggle, the offender allegedly bit a male police officer on the hand causing minor injuries which required medical attention.
A 33 year old man from Sunset Beach will appear in court at a yet to be determined date charged with Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing Police and Assaulting a Public Officer.
This incident follows a separate report made earlier in the week where a police officer was allegedly head butted.
