Woman fined and banned from owning animals

This little guy wasn't in too good shape when the RSPCA found him.

A 27-year-old woman has been fined $2000 and banned from owning animals for three years, after pleading guilty to a charge of animal cruelty in Geraldton Magistrates Court.

The court heard when RSPCA inspectors visited Taran Marie Corterill's property at Waggrakrine, on the outskirts of Geraldton, in May this year they discovered that her 18-month-old female dog was extremely emaciated.
