16 year old charged with criminal damage, awaiting arson report after school fire

According to the ABC, a 16-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated burglary and criminal damage after he allegedly set fire to the Waggrakine Primary School in Geraldton.

They also report that the fire caused $700,000 dollars damage, mainly to the administration buildings.

The Geraldton Police have clarified that an individual has been charged with aggravated  burglary, stealing and criminal damage. These charges do not pertain to the fire that occurred. 

The individual has not been charged with criminal damage by fire at this point. Detectives are waiting on a report from the arson squad.
