Blayney submitting petition to keep murderer behind bars

Local Geraldton MP Ian Blayney advised of his intention to table a petition relating to the imprisonment of convicted Greenough murderer William Patrick Mitchell.

Mr Blayney intends to present the 1,493-signature petition to the Legislative Assembly tomorrow afternoon after Question Time.

The petition calls for Mitchell not to be granted parole and to be never released from prison.

Mitchell committed the violent murder of Karen McKenzie, her 16 yr-old son and two daughters aged seven and five at Greenough in February 1993.
