Police pursue stolen 4x4 - charges laid

At about 4pm on yesterday (Tuesday 16 July 2013) Geraldton Police observed a stolen Mitsubishi Pajero in Rangeway. Upon observing Police, the occupants drove away in a reckless manner, and police lost sight of the vehicle near Sherlock Way.

Additional police resources were dispatched to the area and inquiry lead to the discovery of the stolen vehicle in the rear yard of an unrelated residence on Sherlock Way. Extensive patrols of the area resulted in two adult males and one juvenile male being arrested.

Following further investigation the three males were charged with numerous offences.

Charges- 18 year old male from Baynton 1. Aggravated Burglary & Commit Offence 2. Stealing ( x 2) 3. Steal Motor Vehicle 4. No Authority to Drive ( x 2) 5. Reckless Driving ( x 2) 6. Fail to Stop ( x 2 )

20 year old male from Medina 1. Steal motor vehicle 2. Stealing 3. No Authority to Drive

16 year old male from Karloo 1. Steal Motor Vehicle 2. Posses Cannabis

Both adult males will be attending Geraldton Magistrates Court on Wednesday 17 July 2013 for a first appearance. The juvenile male will be attending Geraldton Children’s Court at a later date.
