Blooming lovely at Mullewa

Spring is in the air, which means it is time for the annual Mullewa Wildflower Show.

Proudly hosted by the Mullewa Community Resource Centre in the Mullewa Town Hall, the display is open from 9am to 4pm, each day from Thursday August 29 to Sunday September 1.

Volunteers have been hard at work carefully collecting specimens of the many wildflower species found in bushland around Mullewa, including the beautiful and unique wreath flower. 

Admission is Adults $5, Pensioners/Seniors $3, Children $1 and Under 5s free, with morning and afternoon teas provided by local church groups at $5 for plate and coffee or tea.

Described as ‘Bringing the bush to the people’, the show also brings the people into the bush, with many taking self-drive tours to see the blooming wildflowers in the wild, so to speak.
