Firing up at Nukara

It started small, but Nukara Rhythm & Fire Fest has become a keynote event for music lovers throughout the Mid West and beyond.
Fest fans travelling up from the South West have been using Facebook to offer lifts to the event, which on Saturday 14th September.
Three bands will grace Nukara's stage (which uniquely has a creek running beneath it) to keep the punters up dancing (&and warm) amongst the open fires & Gum trees.
Bands chosen for this year’s fest are Freo blues/reggae party band Dilip N the Davs, soul rockers Boom! Bap! Pow! and Jordan McRobbie, who will open the excitement at 6pm.
Packed between the bands will be some new and exciting fire sculptures and performances by Mid West artists and performers.
It all happens at Nukara Farm, located on the Nanson-Howatharra Road a short distance before the historic Chapm,an Valley settlement of Nanson .
Tickets are available from Geraldton CD Centre at 88 Marine Tce Geraldton until 2pm Saturday 17th August ($75).
Credit card bookings are also available by calling (08) 99214821 and your tickets can be picked up from the gate (Card charges may apply).
Strictly no children under 16 due to safety concerns, but camping is encouraged (includes shower facilities) for $10 per person payable upon entry (Gates open at 3pm).
BYO drinks, rugs and chairs. Homemade dinners will be catered by Culinary HQ, with Pride Midwest catering the Sausage Sizzle later in the evening and the Recovery Breakfast from 8am the following morning.
Opener: Jordan McRobbie will start the excitement at 6pm on September 14.
