Yet another hit and run in Geraldton

In shocking news to the Geraldton community, Police are investigating yet another a hit and run crash involving a white ute and a teenage boy in Geraldton on Sunday, this time occurring in the middle of the day.

Local traffic officers say that at 1.05pm on Sunday, a 16-year-old was walking in a north-easterly direction along Shenton Street, towards Durlacher Street, in Geraldton.

He was hit by a white utility as he crossed Askew Road, at its junction with Shenton Street. The ute was turning right into Askew Street from Shenton Street.

Police say the vehicle did not stop.

The boy is a white male with blonde hair and was wearing a white singlet and grey shorts. He suffered extensive grazing.

The vehicle was an older model tray back ute, white in colour with silver tray sides, driven by a male.

This incident follows a hit and run in Waggrakine three weeks ago that tragically took the lives of two pedestrians.
