Southgates Trashed

Dave Eliassen (via Instagram) shared a couple of disappointing pics from Southgates on Friday (25/10/13). The pictures of rubbish and smashed glass
He said
"Pretty disappointing heading out to south gate dunes and seeing this, some places in the dunes there is that much broken glass I wasn’t getting out of the car without thongs on. It’s a shame that people don’t care about beautiful areas like this, you should be able to let your kids wander barefoot."
He said after a couple of hours of collecting the rubbish, he came away with three bags of bottles and broken glass, as well as a host of other junk people had dumped.
It serves as a timely reminder for everyone to do their part in keeping our city pristine, and thanks Dave for going the extra mile.
