Well known Geraldton local, Eric Osbourne, suffered severe injuries two weeks ago after he was hit by a car near Bunnings.

Eric suffered a bleed on the brain, fractured ribs, a broken knee, a dislocated shoulder and lots of abrasions to his face in the accident.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital after the accident and is now on the mend in Perth’s Bentley Hospital.

Eric, 57, lives with a disability, and his carer Jo Norman said the bleed on the brain had gone and he was in good spirits and looking forward to getting back home.

Eric will have to undergo some intense rehabilitation before he will be back on his feet.

Cindy, one of Eric’s close family friends, said he was improving everyday.

He is looking good and has a big recovery ahead of him but hopefully he will be back in Geraldton soon,” she said.

He wanted to know how all his friends were and if they miss him.”

You probably know Eric from his days as a trolley-man at Target or most recently, seen him delivering pamphlets with his blue trolley in hand and his dog beside him.

We wish Eric all the best and a very speedy recovery!
