Geraldton celebrates the opening of the NEW Seacrest Shopping Centre and Woolworths store

Convenience shopping in Geraldton continues to grow with Woolworths Ltd opening the new Seacrest Shopping Centre and Woolworths Seacrest, next week.

The official launch of Seacrest Shopping Centre and the new Woolworths store will take place on Wednesday, 16 August at the store, located on the corner of Barret Drive and Ocean Queen Drive, Wandina. Seacrest Shopping Centre is a $12 million investment in the local community and includes Woolworths plus a range of specialty stores and a medical centre.

Among the key features at Woolworths Seacrest, customers can expect free Wi-Fi, and wide aisles, as well as free undercover parking.

Woolworths Seacrest store manager, Shane Cranston said: “The launch of Woolworths Seacrest is a potentially transformational change for the Geraldton region, as it dramatically increases the local employment opportunities while also raising awareness of healthy eating and fresh fruit and vegetables.”

“The store has been designed with the customer at heart following a great deal of time spent understanding what local shoppers are looking for. We’ve taken care to ensure we provide easy-access parking and that we stock Geraldton favourites, such as locally sourced cucumbers.

“With 100 per cent of our fresh meat and 96 per cent of fresh fruit and vegetables sourced from Australia, the store has been designed to also showcase the wonderful seasonality of our produce and provide further food inspiration for our customers,” he said.

Woolworths Seacrest will also be an active participant in the local community, supporting charities such as Food Bank and donating fruit to local schools.

Opening hours for Woolworths Seacrest are 8am-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8am-9pm Thursday and 8am-5pm on Saturday.

Opening celebrations at the new Seacrest Shopping Centre include a meet and greet with Peppa Pig, on Saturday 19th August at 10am, 11am and 12 noon.
