Troy Cassar-Daley and Adam Harvey as individual Australian country music artists are hugely popular with the Australian Country music loving audiences. They each have a veritable swag of top selling country albums and a truck load of country music awards and accolades.
To the delight of country music fans, these two superb country artists - and great mates - need no excuse to get together. They love touring together and having the opportunity to perform their favourite country songs as recorded by other country music stars. This year, Troy and Adam have finally realised their dream of recording what they’ve been performing on tour. The music they go out and perform together on tour for a bit of fun has finally been recorded for everyone to enjoy. The result is The Great Country Songbook; a fantastic album of classic country songs as performed by Australia’s finest country singers Troy Cassar-Daley and Adam Harvey.
The Great Country Songbook was released on 14th June and jumped to the top of the ARIA album charts, debuting at #1 on the Country Album charts and #2 on the Australian Album charts.
It has held a Top 10 album chart for 12 weeks and this week is holding at #6 on the ARIA album charts. It remains the #1 Country Album after 12 consecutive weeks.
The Great Country Songbook is everyone’s favourite country songs, top-heavy with Troy & Adam’s biggest personal influences: Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Hank Williams, Glen Campbell, and Aussie country icon Slim Dusty.
Audiences can look forward to hearing Troy and Adam perform songs such as “He Stopped Loving Her Today”, “Behind Closed Doors”, “You’re My Best Friend”, as well as duets from Adam and Troy of “Lights on the Hill”, “Walk the Line” to name just a few.
