Flare prank causes damage to house - The West Australian

A retired couple are counting the cost of fire damage after a flare was thrown at their Bluff Point home.

Retired farmer Ted Culloton, 71, and his wife Coralie awoke on Sunday, November 18, to find a flare had left burn marks to their roof and guttering.

Heat from the flare warped the guttering, which now needed to be replaced.

“We’re lucky our guttering was clean, usually with the gum trees around it would be full of leaves,” Mr Culloton said.
