Apple's New Look iPhone Operating System

While you were sleeping, Apple held the keynote presentation for their annual WorldWide Developers conference, where they announced the much anticipated iOS 7 which will power their iPhone, iPad and iPod touch line ups.

The new iOS 7 will dramatically change the look of your iPhone, with new typography, many new features and a crisp fresh look to the entire iPhone experience.

We measure all the traffic that visits our websites and apps, and the iPhone and iPad are by far the most used devices, so here's some of the things you can expect to see arrive on your iPhone later in the year with iOS 7.

New AirDrop feature that makes sharing images easier.

A wallpaper setting that makes your background images appear as though they were on a separate plane behind your icons... as you rotate your phone the image moves slightly to give the impression of being behind the icons.

Better multi tasking features.

Automatic updating of your apps.

A much cleaner design over all, with a lot of translucent features and a fresh colour palette.

iRadio, a feature that works a bit like Pandora or Spotify radio.

New shortcuts to settings and flashlights, and plenty of other new features below the skin.

Apple also used the occasion to introduce their new MacBook Airs with improved battery life. The 13" Air now lasts for a whopping 12 hours of use, and a month on standby.

They also gave a preview of the all new Mac Pro, a product developers and designers have been screaming for for a couple of years now.

The new iOS 7 will be available for free for your iPhone later in the Spring.
