Following protest by the victims' families and friends in Geraldton yesterday, charges have now been laid against the driver in the double fatality incident that occurred in Waggrakine two weeks ago. The charges laid are Fail to Stop, Fail to Render Assistance, and Excess 0.05%.

The incident, which happened on 5 October 2013, resulted in the death of two 40 year old pedestrians on Chapman Valley Rd near Waggrakine Primary.

The suspect will appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court at a later date.
