At about 7.20pm on Monday 5th May, a domestic incident occurred in Rangeway in which a 41 year old male was involved in an argument with his partner.
Police will allege, due to the argument, the male has produced a large black handled serrated knife, and stabbed the female to her left upper arm, causing two large wounds to her arm.
Police, who were present in the same street conducting other inquiries, were alerted to the incident and subsequently attended to the scene, where the male person of interest was still in possession of the knife.
As a result, the male was placed under arrest and has been charged with 1 count of Aggravated unlawful wounding was remanded in custody to appear at the Geraldton Magistrates Court today.
The female victim is in a stable condition at Geraldton Regional Hospital.
