Dead trees to be removed for safety concerns

Cathedral Avenue will be partially closed this weekend, due to the removal of three large dead trees in the area.  The City is always reluctant to remove trees as they add to the liveability of the City. However in this case, the trees are dead and pose a serious risk to pedestrians and motorists.

Other trees in this vicinity will be pruned to remove their dead wood.  Because of the height of the trees, specialist equipment will be brought up from Perth.

Traffic management will be in place from 7.30am - 3.30pm on Saturday 21 November and 9.00am-5.30pm on Sunday 22 November. Car Park No. 6 (the SGIO Car Park) will also be closed during this time.
