More firearms stolen

Following three firearms stolen from a Waggrakine property reported on earlier in the week, (read more) police are reporting two more weapons have been stolen from a home in Rangeway.

Between 7.00pm on Sunday the 15th September 2013 and 1.00pm on Wednesday the 18th September 2013, unknown offenders attended an address in Scott Road, Rangeway.

They entered a shed on the premises via an unlocked door.

Police say the keys were located for a firearm cabinet which had been hidden in the shed and those keys were then used to open a firearm safe, also secured in the shed.

The offender/s stole 2 firearms (rifles) and an undisclosed quantity of cash before escaping undetected.

Further inquiries are continuing.
Police are calling for witnesses or anyone with any information regarding this matter to be provided to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
