Attention Wonthella residents: Strategic Plan Meeting

The Residents of Wonthella are invited to participate and share their ideas and passions for improvements or projects they would like to see happen to enhance the suburb of Wonthella at an upcoming Strategic Plan Meeting. Organised by the Wonthella Progress Association (WPA) the meeting will be held on Sunday 19th January 2014 and it is open to all Wonthella residents. Commencing at 1.30pm at the PCYC Hall on Pass Street residents are encouraged to register at 1.15pm, the meeting will finish at approximately 4.30pm. Wonthella residents, this is your chance to have a say, and the WPA look forward to seeing as many people as possible.

Sally Farrell, the Facilitator of the meeting said “the plan will give the Wonthella Progress Association focus for the next five years. It will combine the thoughts and feelings of the people involved and all ideas will be considered and prioritised. The plan will complement the City of Greater Geraldton 2029 and Beyond plan and will reflect the same five key areas of Environment, Economic, Social, Cultural and Governance. Having a five year plan is pretty much essential to attract government funding and community grants.”

Sally Edwards, the President of the Progress Association said ideas had already been suggested like a half basketball court at the Fourth Street Federation Park.

For anyone who is unable to attend on the day, a survey has been set up on Survey Monkey, the link to the survey is: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XLR23HH The survey is anonymous, so residents are encouraged to be open and honest with their replies. The survey can be completed by anyone who is a home owner, an investor, business owner or if you rent a property in the suburb of Wonthella. People who are planning to attend the meeting are also encouraged to complete the survey. Information from the survey will be collated and the ideas presented at the meeting.

Residents are encouraged to check their letterbox in the New Year for a leaflet which will have the meeting details.
